Sunday Morning
We worship in Word and song every Sunday morning at 10:00 AM.
Each Sunday’s service includes a sermon as well as a special message intended just for the children of the congregation. Parents are welcome to accompany their children during the special message if their children are very young or shy about participating. A Service of Holy Communion is offered every Sunday. We believe our Lord, Jesus Christ is truly present in, with, and under the bread and wine. Martin Luther, in his Small Catechism, assures us that in this sacrament we receive life, salvation, and the forgiveness of sins. Luther writes, “For where there is forgiveness of sins, there is also life and salvation.” Everyone is invited forward to share in this meal. Bethel practices open Communion and all are welcome. If you do not wish to receive Communion, you are welcome to come forward for a blessing.
Mid-week Services in Lent and Advent
Additionally, during Advent (the weeks leading up to Christmas) and Lent (the weeks leading up to Easter) we hold mid-week evening services. These services are quiet and contemplative and are based on the canonical prayer often known as Vespers or Evening Prayer.
