Outreach to Our Neighbors

One of Bethel’s core values is building strong relationships between and among our membership, our many supporters as well as all members of our neighborhood. We consider our Overlook Neighborhood to be made up of both housed and un-housed people, and we actively build relationships with people in all of these communities.

Additionally, we believe we are biblically mandated to reach out to those in need. In Matthew 25:35, Jesus says “for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.”
